Origin of the development
In order to cooperate with the corporate project of three railways constructions, that is, the Wanban subway, one of the important public works of the ministry of communications, the Zhongnan Line ( the Nangang Taipei station in Banqiao), the shortcut transportation system in the capital city of Taipei, the circular transference transportation system in city and the high railway etc, the short way transferring stations and the middle and long way passenger transportation stations are built up to provide the citizens with a convenient and fast traffic net and make the special area of the stations the hinge of transportation in the west bank of the Tamsui river in the capital city of Taipei. At the same time the building of the special area will bring the balanced development of the capital city and will make it a newly developed core district in the urban area of the capital city.

The development acreage: about 39.5 hectares.

The duration of Development: 1994.08~2004.07.

Public establishment acreage: About 18.4 hectares.

The great events records of the development
The first important project in the adjustment area：

1. Nov 1996: Fulfilled the results bulletin of the land distribution, and transacted the alteration registration in the land registry of Banqiao.
2. Sep 1997: Fulfilled the building works of surroundings of Wenhua Road, Minquan Road, and Hansheng East Road, that is, the construction of the planned roadway widening and sideway building works, roundly paved roundly the conjunctive pipes in advance, reduced the digging on the road, and offered citizens high quality driving space.
3. Dec 1997: Completed the waterscape plaza, provided the citizens with comfortable playing and relaxing place in the water.
4. June 1999: Finished the wind chasing square and dream seeking garden, offered the teen agers an area of excellent entertainment, it is also a nice place for education and playing for parents and kids to intercommunicate.
5. Oct. 2000: Fulfilled the building of the Banqiao bus stations and the middle and long way passenger transportation stations, provided nearly 60,000 workers and students per day with convenient and swift public transferring space.
6. Aug 2001: Finished the Zhongzhou square(guangting the first period project).In the centre of the square there are 29 engraved granitic sculpts, characterized with the typical local features of each town in this city. Especially, the bronze geographical sign, which symbolized the prevailing of the time and the developing of the new special area, has civilization and education significance.
7. May 2002: Completed Guangting, the whole sight project the second period works. The project has small show stage and rebroadcast system, which offered performance place for the art and entertainment groups and capacious amusing and relaxing paradise for all the citizens
8. Aug. 2002: Finished the county people road, Xinzhan road, and Zhanqian road. Since then it takes the countryside people only 5 minutes from the home to the city of Taipei

The second period zone expropriation

1. Oct 1997: Fulfilled the results bulletin of land distribution in 11 months since the bulletin of the project book of expropriation section at the end of October,1996, and transacted the alteration registration in the land registry of Banqiao.
2. Apr 2000: Finished the conjunctive pipe paving works in the whole area and offered the landowners in the area the application of construction priority.
3. May 2000: Fulfilled the road widen project in Hansheng East Road, solved the trouble of traffic jams on road bridge, provided the local people with comfortable and safe driving and walking space.
4. July 2002: Finished the underground pavement in Xinzhan Road.

The third period of urban land readjustment area

1. Dec 1997: Cooperated with the moving of Zhongshan state run middle school, finished the ground building removing tasks on the north part of Zhongshan Road, and provided the land firstly to build the administration hall and the city square, which were completed separately in March 2003 and December 2002.
2. May 2002: Finished the ground building removing tasks on the south part of Zhongshan Road.
3. July 2002: Fulfilled the tidy up task on the north part of Zhongshan Road and the underground pavement in Xinzhan Road(Xinfu light corridor) and finished partly the connection works of Wenhua road , Xinbanqiao station, city square and the surrounding space of the county hall.
4. Oct 2002: The finish and the open of the second park nearby, which offered the local people a playground of relaxing and exercising and provided children entertaining equipment to promote the feeling between parents and kids.
5. July, 2003: Fulfilled the results bulletin of the land distribution, and transacted the alteration registration in the land registry of Banqiao.
6. Sep 2003: Finished the project in the south part of Zhongshan road, and Xinfu road was opened to the public.

The third period zone expropriation

1. 0ct 2002: Finished the ground building removing tasks
2. March 2003: Fulfilled the results bulletin of the land distribution, and transacted the alteration registration in the land registry of Banqiao.
3. Sep 2003: Fulfilled the tidy up task of the whole area , the paving of conjunctive pipe and in 10 months the Xinzhan road project was finished ahead of the schedule, and at the same time Xinfu road was opened to the public.
4. Feb 2004: The whole city area was used as the main lamp showing field of Taiwan in 2004.

The land bidding

1. Jan 2004 : The land bid item was transacted formally in the area.
2. June 2004: 11 items of the land bid in the area was sold out, and the total sum is 170yuan.

Development profit

1. The layout of the railway project combined Taipei railway and Gaoxiong railway with the shortcut railway and established bus system and the middle long way passenger transferring station as well, and make it the core belt of Banqiao.
2. Increased the job opportunities of the third grade industry, transit the industrial structures of Banqiao,and slowed down the impact of centralizing of the third grade industry in Taipei.
3. Renovated the declined industrial areas in the city, and combined with the build of transportation system, entertainment squares, parks, shopping centers and commercial equipment to upgrade the quality of living conditio.
